Workshop on 'Life Skills' at Anand Niketan Sughad

Life skills refers to the skills required to effectively deal with demands and challenges of life. Learning these skills helps increase our understanding of the world around us and equip ourselves with the tools we need to live a more productive and fulfilling life and to find ways to cope with the challenges that life throws at us.

Encouraging teachers to develop their own set of life skills and use them to prepare the students to face the challenges effectively, an interactive day long workshop was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at Anand Niketan Sughad on the 8 th of February 2020. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Kush Kulshreshtha, Director of Shree Krishna Educare, Surat and Ms. Michelle Ganeshani, Principal, Podar World School, Baroda.

The workshop aimed at inculcating life skills in the students and prepare them for the challenges in the future. Various methods and tools were demonstrated to enhance life skills among students. Thinking skills, social skills and emotional skills were discussed in detail. Focus was also laid on developing skills such as self-awareness, empathy, critical thinking, creative thinking, effective communication, decision making etc.

The objective of the workshop was to help teachers to inculcate life skills in their curriculum to bring a positive change in the students and ensure holistic development of the students.
