CLEANLINESS DRIVE

On his 105th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to people for an hour of shramdaan for the cleanliness drive at 10 am on October 1 st . He had called the the initiative- 'Ek tareekh ek ghanta ek saath'.The mega cleanliness drive called upon citizens from all walks of life to join in actual cleaning activities of public places like market spaces, railway tracks, water bodies, tourist locations, religious places etc.

The Environment Club members of Anand Niketan Sughad school responded to the national call to action for one hour of citizen led shramdaan for Swachhata on 1 st October, 2023 at 10 a.m. Accompanied by teachers these enthusiastic students reached the Narmada Canal Area , about 5 kms away from the school and undertook the task of cleaning up all plastic and garbage which had been careless thrown around. Initiatives like this make the students socially responsible and inculcate the right values.
