Anand Niketan Sughad school proudly celebrated India's 79th Independence Day with a series of events that blended patriotic fervor with cultural performances. The day began with a dignified ceremony that brought together students, staff, and guests.
The morning started promptly with the flag hoisting, a solemn moment led by the chief guest, Lt. Colonel Arvind Joshi, and the school principal, Ms. Bitasta Bhattacharya. As the national flag unfurled against the morning sky, the collective singing of the national anthem filled the school grounds with a sense of pride.
The celebration then moved to the school auditorium for the main program. An exciting addition to the auditorium was the newly installed massive LED screen, officially inaugurated by school trustee Shri Vivek Patel. This new feature is designed to significantly enhance future school events, providing a dynamic backdrop for performances and presentations.
The cultural program that followed was both commemorative and inspiring. Students presented a powerful dance sequence as a poignant tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam attack and honored the bravery associated with Operation Sindoor. This was followed by a series of engaging skits that brought to life the stories of various heroes and freedom fighters who contributed to India's independence struggle.
The chief guest, Lt. Colonel Arvind Joshi, also graced the occasion with a song, adding a personal and melodious touch to the festivities. The program reached its grand finale with a soulful dance sequence. It was performed by girls from grades 7 to 12. This beautiful amalgamation of Kathak and Bharatanatyam was set to a stirring patriotic song. This artistic conclusion left the audience with a profound sense of national pride and unity.
